We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Teaching Assistant to join one of our client secondary schools in Stockport. The successful candidate will work closely with students with autism and special educational needs, providing individualised support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
This will be a full-time role, and it is due to begin as soon as possible.
This school is located in Stockport and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one support to students with autism and SEN, assisting with academic tasks, social skills development, and emotional regulation.
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create and implement personalised learning plans for students with autism and SEN.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the overall well-being and success of all students.
* Monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and any concerns, communicating effectively with the SENCO and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Relevant experience working with individuals with autism or special educational needs is highly desirable.
* A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
* A commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality within an educational setting.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are advantageous but not essential.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required for this role.
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience, between £415 and £450 per week.
