We're looking for a Commissioning Manager to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) team based in Basingstoke.
Location: Basingstoke.
Contract: Permanent.
Kier Mechanical & Electrical are an internal MEP self-delivery design and build business within the Kier group and they support the internal regional businesses across the UK and the Strategic Projects business on selected complex projects. The business has a full design, construct and commissioning capability with core sectors including Custodial, Commercial, Health & Science.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Commissioning Manager, you'll be working within the KME team, supporting them in pre commissioning tasks and the commissioning tasks.
Your day to day will include:
* Ensure sites are safe and that all operatives are set to work in line with Kiers standards,
* Ensure all commissioning works are planned with suitable risk assessments and method statements and carried out in accordance with Kier standards, project requirements and UK law.
* Liaise with the Engineers and Project Manager to ensure that the site delivery is carried out in line with the programmes and monitored.
* Manage quality procedures in line with Kier Standards, ensuring the records are maintained.
* Contribute to the identification of projects risks and opportunities, providing suggestions, taking responsibility for the mitigation or enhancement of those within your area.
* Investigate where systems are not performing to design criteria and provide advise to the project manager as to any remedial action that may be required.
What are we looking for?
This role is great for you if you:
* Have worked in a similar role, with the key responsibilities listed above and safety is at the forefront of everything you do.
* Have proven experience within a management role.
* Are technically astute in pre commissioning/commissioning of building services installation and safety and hold a relevant industry accredited qualification.
* Have CSCS and SMSTS accreditation as a minimum.
* You will be offered training for any development agreed with your line manager.
