MCS Group is thrilled to be partnering exclusively with one of the most interesting technology organisations to set up in Belfast in recent years, in their search for a Director of Information Security. With a team of over 50 employees locally already, this newly created role will afford an experienced cyber security professional the chance to completely own information and cyber security in a high growth, international technology company - working across security strategy to hands-on projects and initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO in this critical role for the business, the Director of Infosec will own and evolve the enterprise-wide security program - protecting data, systems, and products from internal and external threats. Please note that this is a hybrid role (1-2 days per week in Belfast) and sponsorship is unfortunately unavailable at this time. The Role: Develop and lead cyber security, risk management, and compliance programs (ISO, SOC, GDPR) You'll act as SME for product and infrastructure security across devices, software, and hosted environments You'll conduct vendor risk assessments, lead incident response efforts, and monitor vulnerability management. Serve as key liaison for audits, client security reviews, and internal education on security policies Partner with the wider IT function and other business units on security strategy, metrics, and disaster recovery planning The Person: You'll have strong leadership in Information Security; built on a strong technical background in cyber security. Ideally, you'll have had previous experience in working within security in fast-growing start-up and/or scale up environments. Experience of working with SaaS environments or organisations which have created products covering: IoT, connected devices or real-time-data would be highly advantageous. You'll have strong knowledge of cloud security (specifically AWS), network architecture, and data privacy regulations Certifications such as CISSP or CISM Proven success in driving compliance (ISO, SOC) and managing cross-functional teams in different geographies. Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts clearly. Salary Up to £100,000 with package which includes 15% bonus and equity.
