MERITUS are recruiting for a Senior Control Systems Software Engineer to join our client based in Glasgow to support the delivery of complex automation and energy infrastructure projects. SENIOR CONTROL SYSTEMS SOFTWARE ENGINEER - £NEG (ENQUIRE FOR DETAILS) - GLASGOW (HYBRID, 3 DAYS ON-SITE) - SECTOR: ENERGY / INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION Design, develop, and test PLC-based control system software solutions for energy sector applications using Siemens platforms. Support project delivery across the full project lifecycle, from requirements definition and system design through to testing and commissioning. Produce high-quality technical documentation including functional design specifications, test procedures, and commissioning documentation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients to ensure successful technical project delivery. Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and on-site commissioning activities. Contribute to the delivery of reliable and high-performance control systems across critical energy infrastructure projects. Skillset / experience required: Essential: Strong experience designing and programming Siemens PLC systems including TIA Portal, S7, and PCS7.
