Senior Design Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Manager to join our Natural Resources team working on a major wastewater treatment and resilience programme at the Hogsmill site in Surrey. The successful candidate will lead the design phase of civil construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget control and the highest quality standards.
Location
Working from home and site/offices as and when required, with a primary focus on the Hogsmill site.
Contract
Permanent, full‑time. Flexible and part‑time hours may be available with prior discussion.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate with architects, engineers and design consultants to develop comprehensive design solutions.
* Review and approve design drawings, specifications and other project documents.
* Ensure adherence to design standards, building codes and client requirements.
* Develop and implement effective design management processes and procedures.
* Monitor design progress, identify potential issues or risks and manage design change control and documentation.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
* Proven experience as a Design Manager or similar role within the civil/construction industry.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes and industry standards.
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and BIM.
