An opportunity has arisen within the Finance Directorate for an Assistant Valuer in our Estates service team. This is a diverse and interesting role involving providing professional advice on all aspects of estate management; asset valuations; maintaining the Geographical Information System (Map Info) Land Registry layer; updating the asset database and preparing Land Registry compliant plans using Map Info; maintaining property records for acquisitions and disposals; preparing estimates and valuation reports; and the opportunity to be involved in preparing annual reports and individual asset valuations and property reviews.

Knowledge
Essential:
* Demonstrate some experience of property matters.
* Outline understanding of relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
* Computer literate with an effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Degree and / or Associate Membership of RICS or relevant qualification.
* Experience in contributing successfully to effective team working and successful inter-disciplinary initiatives.
