We are seeking a skilled and passionate Commis Chef to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the following: assisting the senior chefs with food preperation, maintaining kitchen hygiene and learning the basics of various kitchen sections.
Duties
* Prepare and cook menu items according to the established recipes and standards
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation
* Manage inventory control, including ordering and stock rotation
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
* Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices for food handling
* Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours
Requirements
* Two years basic kitchen experience
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
* Relevant certification is desirable but not mandatory
