Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of cutting-edge test solutions. What youll do Design 3D parts and assemblies in AutoCAD Inventor with a focus on Design for Manufacture (DFM) Review mechanical stack-ups, interfaces, and tolerances to meet customer specifications Perform mechanical calculations (e.g. fasteners, probe gram forces) Consider material/component costs during design and communicate with Sales for margin analysis Create and maintain accurate BOMs in the ERP system; manage revisions via ECOs Develop manufacturing work instructions and SOPs for production Support Procurement with technical material specifications Provide hands-on support during NPI across Production, Test, and QA Perform design and BOM audits to ensure accuracy prior to release Liaise across departments (Sales, Procurement, Production, QA) to align design and production goals Maintain Design Vault and ERP data with full revision control and compliance with documentation standards Store all company and customer data in line with internal file structures and data protection policies What youll need Previous experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment Exposure to product lifecycle management, NPI and standard operating procedures Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent What youll receive Competitive Salary Bonus Opportunities Performance related bonuses (twice yearly) Talent Referral Health and Life Insurance Dental and Visual Health Cover Employer retirement plan contributions Family friendly policies Education Reimbursement Professional Membership Reimbursement Employee Assistance Plan Paid time off for charity/community volunteering days And more Whats next?
