We've partnered with a growing housing organisation who are seeking a permanent Financial Controller to play a central role in shaping and stabilising a newly restructured finance function during an important period of integration and growth. This is a senior leadership role within a values-led housing provider. You will lead the core finance team, strengthen financial controls and harmonise processes, while building a cohesive, high performing function that supports the wider organisation. Working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, you will oversee day to day financial operations, reporting and governance across the group. The role includes responsibility for consolidated reporting, audit management and continuous improvement of systems and controls. Key responsibilities Lead and develop the core finance team to deliver accurate and timely reporting Strengthen and maintain a robust financial controls environment Oversee monthly management accounts and consolidated group reporting Manage statutory accounts preparation and external audit Support budgeting, forecasting and long term financial planning Improve processes, systems and ways of working across finance Partner with senior stakeholders to support operational decision making About you Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Experience leading a professional finance team at Finance Manager or Financial Controller level Strong background in financial controls, audit and governance Confident communicator, able to influence non finance stakeholders Comfortable working in a changing, integration focused environment Benefits £65,000 - £75,000 Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days work from home) 25 days annual leave bank holidays Flexitime (8-4, 9-5) This is an opportunity to take ownership of a key finance leadership role in a growing housing organisation and help shape how the function evolves long term.
