This role is based in Welwyn Garden City
The Data Manager will oversee the management of price and promotion data feeds on a daily basis for one of the UK’s largest grocery retailers. This role, embedded at the retailers HQ, involves building and maintaining strong relationships with third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders while ensuring data is managed, analysed, and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage large data sets from multiple sources, ensuring data is consistently processed and loaded into systems.
* Monitor the quality and accuracy of data, performing validation checks regularly.
* Track changes in retailer price and promotion policies, ensuring data reflects the latest updates.
* Resolve data queries and implement process improvements to enhance data management.
* Lead the automation of processes and continuously refine data handling workflows.
* Analyse data sets to support business insights and facilitate understanding of trends and key metrics.
* Collaborate with data providers and internal teams at grocery retailer to enhance services and identify areas requiring additional data collection.
* Conduct ad-hoc data analysis as needed.
* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure smooth data operations.
Qualifications
Requirements:
* Proven experience working with large datasets, including the ability to analyze and interpret complex data effectively.
* Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in working with APIs, Excel, and database management systems.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate trends and insights derived from large datasets to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* A proactive mindset with a keen ability to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities within data.
* A natural curiosity and enthusiasm for staying informed about industry topics, trends, and advancements.
