Rolling rota - mixture of early start, mid start or late start shifts - will include some weekends and some bank holidays - NO NIGHT WORK
Will need to travel for role, so car driver would be desirable
Experience working within homelessness, mental health support or substance misuse would be desirable
JOB PURPOSE
To be part of a team that supports our clients, keeping them safe and helping them achieve their goals.
To provide people with homes and specialist support so they feel more valued and secure, and ready to take the next steps.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To support clients by helping them to gain practical life skills, and encourage their engagement with the running of the service
2. To assist clients with managing their finances, paying rent, managing arrears and accessing benefits
3. To carry out daily checks, for example, on clients and the property, and ad hoc housekeeping tasks
4. To support individuals to achieve their desired goals
5. To encourage and signpost clients to the local community and to resources relevant to their aspirations including education, training, employment activity or volunteering
6. To support clients in trauma informed and psychologically informed ways
7. To adhere to safeguarding responsibilities, following our safeguarding policy and procedure
8. To help maintain health and safety, ensuring clients, visitors and buildings are safe in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, policy and procedures
9. To provide basic first aid assistance until help arrives (full training is provided)
10. To work confidently and efficiently when lone working
11. To maintain accurate records on our client management system and ensure these are stored in line with GDPR
12. To maintain confidentiality
13. To represent the organisation in a professional manner
14. To carry out any other reasonable duties required in the interest of the organisation
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
15. This role will require an Enhanced with Barred List(s) disclosure and barring service check is a requirement for this role. This would be completed on appointment of the role.
16. This role may require a full drivers’ licence and access to a vehicle
17. This role will require you to work flexibly across several sites
18. This role will require you to work with clients on a one-to-one basis

21. Experience in similar sectors
22. Experience in customer service roles
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
23. Good communication skills
24. Clear verbal and written English
25. Good keyboard skills for data inputting
26. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
27. Polite and assertive manner
28. Ability to self-motivate as you will work on your own
29. Collaborate well in a team
30. Ability to respond calmly in a crisis
31. Have an interest and genuine concern for homelessness and related issues
