Overview
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) at Enable play a vital role in supporting the people we care for. Each day is unique and you help individuals achieve their goals and outcomes. We create a bespoke team for each person and work collaboratively to ensure safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.
Example
Bill lives at Bute Walk and receives support 8am-9pm Monday to Sunday. He requires a calm and confident Personal Assistant to assist with anxiety and to maintain routine when situations become unfamiliar. Bill enjoys walking, going out, attending disco, bowling, gym, and tea and cake. A supportive PA will help him maintain routine, expand his social network and achieve his personal aspirations.
Responsibilities
Support individuals with personal care, moving and handling, and positive behavioural support. Expand their social networks and connections. Provide routine, structure and positive behaviour support where needed. Assist with daily activities such as meals, dressing, mobility and recreational pursuits.
Qualifications
No prior experience is required; we recruit based on values and transferable skills. You should be calm, confident and able to support people who may become distressed in unfamiliar situations.
