Role: Sales Account Manager - Southwest
Location: Field based / Hybrid (home based with 2 - 3 days per week travel to customer sites; occasional overnight stays and head office visits)
Salary: Up to £39k per year, depending on experience, plus car and benefits package

Responsibilities:
Maintain and grow existing customer accounts, conducting regular reviews and identifying business opportunities.
Prospect and onboard new customers, introducing products and solutions to drive territory growth.
Provide expert advice on lab equipment and consumables, offering tailored solutions to meet customer requirements.
Prepare quotations, proposals and pricing, updating CRM with contacts, meetings and sales opportunities.
Analyse account performance data, track pipeline opportunities and provide regular updates on progress versus targets.
Collaborate with Sales, Sales Support, Operations and Transport teams to ensure customer needs are met efficiently.
Schedule appointments for optimal route efficiency and prioritise face to face interactions with customers.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biological Science, Cellular Biology, Biomedical Science or Chemistry
Full UK driving licence
Strong communicator with good understanding of product portfolio and technical knowledge of lab equipment and consumables
Ability to build long standing relationships with customers
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to network across seniority levels
Experience in solution-based selling or account management within the life sciences industry
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Working laboratory experience
Existing network of contacts within the life sciences industry
Experience using CRM systems
Highly driven and motivated, always seeking growth in the territory
Active listener, able to absorb customer information and provide simple, clear solutions
Self-starter, capable of working independently
Superior organisational skills for planning dynamic schedules in the field and office
