Generator Engineer

Alecto Recruitment are working with a well-established power generation company who are seeking a Generator Engineer to support the servicing, maintenance, and installation of generator systems across customer sites, ensuring reliable performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and installation of generator systems and control equipment.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on generators and associated systems.
* Work on control panels and switchgear, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.
* Conduct load bank testing and support upgrades to control systems.
* Deliver high-quality work on customer sites while maintaining professional standards.
* Ensure compliance with HSQE standards, company procedures, and legislation.
* Manage spare parts, stock control, and complete all required documentation and records.
* Participate in on-call rota and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
Skills & Requirements
* Time-served Generator Engineer.
* Experience fault finding on generator control panels and switchgear.
* Competent in portable load bank testing.
* Familiar with Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) controllers and control system upgrades.
* Proven fault finding and diagnostic ability.
* Full UK driving licence and basic IT skills required.
