Head of Finance (Northern Ireland – Hybrid Options Available with weekly travel to Dublin)

We are exclusively partnering with a fast-growing international business to recruit a Head of Finance who will play a critical role in scaling and shaping the company’s global financial operations.
The role offers the opportunity to build, lead, and enhance a finance function that directly supports the company’s international ambitions.
The Company Accountant will oversee robust financial controls, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain compliance across multiple jurisdictions. With exposure to senior leadership and operational teams, this is a hands-on role for a qualified finance professional ready to make a strategic impact.

Financial Leadership & Oversight
Lead and manage a small finance team including an external bookkeeper and logistics administrator.
Provide mentorship, structure, and accountability to the finance function.
Oversee multi-jurisdictional tax and VAT/Sales Tax obligations, liaising with international advisors.
Implement and maintain rigorous financial controls for multi-currency operations.
Reporting & Analysis
Deliver timely and accurate financial reports and variance analysis across key markets including the USA, Australia, UAE, and Europe.
Provide commercial insights into performance, pricing, and profitability across routes to market.
Manage deferred revenue and monitor performance against KPIs.
Support the delivery of monthly risk/opportunity reviews and quarterly forecasts.
Lead on annual budgeting, financial modelling, and cash flow forecasting across multiple currencies.
Operational Finance & Decision Support
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Logistics teams to align financial operations with business goals.
Inventory & Cost Management
Oversee third-party inventory holdings and ensure accurate cycle counting and reporting.
Manage supplier payments, inventory turnover, and deferred revenue across international markets.
Produce regular bank reconciliations and cash flow updates for all currency accounts.
Payroll & Compliance
Oversee payroll across multiple cycles, starting in Ireland with potential expansion internationally.
Ensure ongoing compliance with payroll legislation and best practice.
Systems & Audit Readiness
Support the enhancement of financial systems to accommodate multi-entity and multi-currency reporting.
Prepare annual audit files and manage all audit engagements with external auditors.
Qualified Accountant is ideal (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAS or equivalent).
~5+ years’ experience in a financial leadership role, ideally within international e-commerce, product sales, or a fast-paced commercial environment.
~ Proven expertise in international tax, VAT/Sales Tax, and FX management.
~ Track record in managing inventory, landed cost accounting, and deferred revenue.
~ Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel/Google Sheets modelling.
~ Strong commercial instincts and a solution-oriented mindset.
Commercially astute with a hands-on approach to finance.
