Overview
Paralegal/Land Registry Clerk (6 month FTC) – Bevan Brittan LLP is seeking a Paralegal/Land Registry Clerk to join the Property (Housing) team in Leeds on a full-time fixed term contract for 6 months.

The role
The Housing team acts for Housing Associations, providing advice on a wide range of property matters, predominantly focused on sales for our Housing Association clients (shared ownership, resale price covenant, outright sales, and land disposals). We are looking for someone to join our busy team to assist with submitting SDLT returns and land registry applications for our clients.
What we are looking for from you
Applicants must have previous property experience and a clear understanding of property transactions. Experience lodging documents such as transfers and leases at the Land Registry is highly desirable.
The team is supportive and will provide on-the-job training for social housing aspects of the role, with ongoing day-to-day support from more experienced lawyers.
Previous social housing experience is not essential, but an interest in social housing would be an advantage.
Attention to detail, efficiency and the ability to use your own initiative are essential, and the ability to work to challenging deadlines will be imperative.
