Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: East Midlands
Salary: £41,700 + Shift Allowance
Hours: Rotating Continental Shift
Our client is a well-established manufacturing organisation with a reputation for operational excellence and innovation. They are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their East Midlands site and provide essential support for moulding machines, automation equipment, and ancillary systems.
Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer
Provide shift breakdown cover on all moulding machines, automation systems, and ancillary equipment
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maintain reliability and uptime
Diagnose, fault-find, and repair machinery efficiently and safely
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency
Collaborate with internal teams to achieve common business objectives
Contribute to training conversations alongside the Maintenance Supervisor to develop peer skills
Deliver improvement targets, including OEE, within your area of responsibility
Assist other engineers as required
Maintain a safe working environment and ensure adherence to all Health & Safety policies
Comply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures
Requirements - Maintenance Engineer
Time-served engineer with an electrical bias; multi-skilled candidates preferred
Self-motivated with a focus on improving equipment effectiveness
Experience in injection moulding or high-volume manufacturing environments advantageous
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work
Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure
Confident communicator, able to engage across all levels of the business
