An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admissions Assistant to join our Central Admissions Unit at the University of Wolverhampton. If you’re someone who enjoys supporting others, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in accuracy and excellent service, this could be the perfect next step for you.

About the Role

As an Admissions Assistant, you will be at the heart of our applicant journey, helping future students from the UK and around the world take their next steps toward higher education.

Working within the Directorate of Student Recruitment, Admissions and Marketing, you’ll support the day‑to‑day processing of applications, ensuring decisions are made promptly, fairly, and in line with University policies and sector regulations.

This is a varied and hands‑on role where no two days look the same. You’ll collaborate with Admissions Officers, Managers, and academic teams to maintain data accuracy, keep application pipelines moving, and provide a consistently high-quality experience for every applicant.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll make a meaningful contribution to the student experience by:

2. Processing applications in line with entry criteria and regulatory requirements
3. Keeping applicant records accurate using systems such as SITS, Enroly, and CRMs
4. Supporting key admissions activities including Confirmation, CAS issuance, and Clearing
5. Carrying out document verification checks and liaising with UCAS and internal colleagues
6. Responding to complex applicant queries with professionalism, clarity, and care
7. Getting involved in applicant engagement activities such as Open Days, webinars, and virtual events
8. Contributing ideas to improve admissions processes and the applicant experience

What We’re Looking For

9. A‑levels or equivalent
10. Experience working in a Higher Education admissions team
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
12. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to stay organised under pressure
13. Experience using SITS, e:Vision, or similar student systems
14. An understanding of UKVI compliance and international qualifications (desirable)
15. A proactive, supportive, and collaborative approach to problem‑solving

If you are enthusiastic and committed to delivering high‑quality service, you’ll thrive in this role.

Why Join Us?

This is an exciting time to be part of the University of Wolverhampton as we continue to transform our approach to admissions and student recruitment. You’ll join a friendly, supportive team committed to:

16. Delivering an outstanding applicant experience
17. Supporting strategic growth
18. Embracing innovation and continuous improvement
19. Making a positive impact on our students and wider community
20. We are proud to be the University of Opportunity, championing widening participation, transforming lives, and building an inclusive, diverse workforce where everyone can thrive.
