Offer description

Operational: To book out homecare drugs on the Pharmacy JAC computer system against clinically screened prescriptions, to consultant cost centres and to patient codes. This requires in depth knowledge of the pharmacy computer system and attention to detail To maintain the homecare pharmacy database that records all patients within the homecare service. Other operational duties: To undertake as requested across a broad range of issue ad-hoc projects, sometimes requiring preparation and collation of reports for distribution/ circulation. To deal courteously with telephone calls from patients, healthcare professionals and any other general enquiries or direct them to the appropriate people.

Take messages when required and provide a pleasant and helpful point of contact within a busy department. Quality: To co-operate with staff in other disciplines to help ensure the safe, effective and economic use of medicines. To maintain full patient confidentiality when dealing with prescriptions and any other sensitive information. Trust responsibilities: To be part of the Pharmacy team to enable the objectives of the Trust to be achieved.
