Practice Nurse – Permanent (1–2 Days per Week) Location: Cambridge (GP Practice) Hours: 8:00am – 5:30pm (Ideally Wednesday & Thursday, but flexible) Specialisms: Asthma & Diabetes I am working with a well-regarded GP Practice in Cambridge seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join their clinical team on a permanent part-time basis. This role is ideal for a nurse confident in chronic disease management, particularly asthma and diabetes, and looking for a stable position within a supportive primary care environment. The Role The successful candidate will work alongside the practice’s clinical team to deliver high-quality nursing care to the patient population. General Practice nursing duties typically include: * Chronic disease management (particularly asthma and diabetes) * Running nurse-led clinics * Cervical cytology (smear tests) * Childhood and adult immunisations & vaccinations * Wound care and dressings * ECGs and blood pressure checks * NHS Health Checks * Travel health advice * Contraception and sexual health advice * Spirometry (if trained) * Infection prevention & control * Maintaining accurate clinical records and using EMIS/System One (or similar) Experience in primary care is essential, along with confidence in managing long-term conditions.
