Are you on the lookout for a new part-time or full-time job where you go home every day knowing you've made a difference?
We're looking for new colleagues to join our amazing #TeamCrudenlea in Stonehaven on a permanent basis (16-39 hours per week).
The Role
You'll become part of a friendly, fun team supporting individuals with various disabilities and additional support needs to live in their shared home. If you're looking for a job where every day is different, this is the role for you!
The main focus of your role will be supporting individuals with all aspects of their daily living, including shopping, finances, meal preparation, housework, and personal care.
You will also support their hobbies and interests, enjoying activities like going to the cinema and theatre, watching Aberdeen FC, getting creative in the kitchen, and engaging in indoor and outdoor activities.
About You
At Cornerstone, we don't recruit based on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We will pay you during your training and provide all the practical skills needed for success in your new role. We also fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and cover yearly SSSC registration fees.
If you don't live in the Stonehaven area and are not a driver, you should be confident in your ability to travel to our service, considering limited public transport options that fit our shift patterns.
What You Need to Bring
* A caring and compassionate attitude
* The ability to work well in a team
* Good communication and organizational skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Confidence in using computers
* The ability to cook (baking is a bonus!)
* Confidence to participate in water activities like swimming
Shift Patterns
Shifts typically fall between 07:30 and 21:30 hours. Sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays are part of the rota on a rotational basis. Depending on your contract size, you may work around 2-3 sleepovers per month, which are paid at £100.80 each.
If interested, apply today! We are looking to fill these vacancies quickly and may close the advert early if suitable candidates are found. Successful candidates will need to join the PVG scheme and work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with our Training Academy.
Please note: If you have spent more than 12 months outside the UK (excluding certain countries) in the last 10 years after turning 18, you'll need to provide a criminal record check as part of pre-employment checks. You will also need to register with the SSSC within 3 months of employment.
Cornerstone welcomes applications from all community sections and aims to increase workforce diversity.
* For this position, female applicants are preferred as an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
