A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Digital Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing the daily logistics and scheduling of repaired parts within a defined cell, ensuring seamless delivery to the build line and sub-assembly processes. You will oversee data accuracy across ERP and APS systems, coordinate with engineers and repair teams, and proactively resolve issues that could affect on-time delivery. This role combines hands-on operational control with digital scheduling expertise, driving the flow of materials valued at approximately £2 million through complex repair and production routes to meet business targets.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Oversee complex logistics control using ERP and APS systems to achieve >95% on-time production performance.
2. Manage daily digital scheduling and logistics flow, resolving production issues within 24 hours.
3. Analyse ERP and APS data to identify constraints and optimise workflow within the repair and assembly cells.
4. Report daily to the Senior Digital Scheduler on cell performance, issues, and improvement actions.
5. Monitor monthly yield and cost performance, managing variances up to £50K.
6. Control cell inventory valued at around £2 million, reporting monthly on variances and stock accuracy.
7. Provide daily and weekly performance reports, highlighting deviations and corrective actions.
8. Communicate effectively across shop floor and engineering teams, influencing task prioritisation and delivery focus.
9. Support continuous improvement by identifying and implementing system and process enhancements.
10. Manage and update SAP data to ensure accurate reflection of production progress and performance.
What You Bring
11. Proficiency in SAP production order systems and experience interpreting digital scheduling tools (APS or equivalent).
12. In-depth knowledge of material scheduling, expediting, and production control within a manufacturing or repair environment.
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act quickly under time constraints.
14. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, capable of coordinating between multiple teams and priorities.
15. Experience managing repair processes or shop floor scheduling, ensuring clear direction and accountability.
16. Familiarity with current and legacy engine product ranges (advantageous).
17. Minimum ONC in an Engineering or Commercial discipline (HNC desirable) or equivalent professional experience.
18. Proven experience in a logistics, scheduling, or production control role, ideally within a complex manufacturing environment.
