Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm
Job Overview
We are recruiting an experienced MIG Welder to join a well-established UK manufacturer specialising in heavy-duty fabricated steel products and vehicle-mounted equipment for demanding operational environments, including waste handling and specialist vehicle applications.
This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled welder with experience in structural and heavy fabrication, working to high quality and durability standards.
Key Responsibilities
MIG welding of heavy-gauge mild steel components used in vehicle-mounted and engineered equipment
Welding fabrications such as frames, arms, brackets, and assemblies
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication instructions
Setting up and adjusting welding equipment to suit material thickness and job requirements
Producing strong, consistent welds to meet structural and visual quality standards
Carrying out basic self-inspection and rectifying welding defects where required
Working collaboratively with fabricators, fitters, and production teams
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area in line with health & safety proceduresSkills & Experience Required
Proven MIG welding experience within heavy fabrication, plant, vehicle bodies, or engineering manufacturing
Confident working with thicker materials and structural welds
Ability to read and work from technical/engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a teamInterview Process
