We’re working with a leading global technology and consulting organisation seeking a Head of Sales in the Utilities Sector to drive significant growth across the UK & Ireland.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on winning new business, building executive relationships, and shaping go-to-market strategy across the utilities landscape.
The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of developing and executing sales strategy across a diverse utilities customer base, including:

Electricity & Gas (Retail, Generation, Distribution & Transmission)
Water & Wastewater
Renewables

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll lead complex, high-value deals across IT Services, Business Process Services, and Engineering Services.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a clear sales strategy for the Utilities sector
Build and maintain strong relationships at CxO and Board level
Identify, shape and convert large-scale opportunities into wins
Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, including bid strategy and governance
Drive new logo acquisition and revenue growth across the UK & Ireland
Manage and mentor a team of Business Development and Pre-Sales professionals
Maintain a strong pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting

What We’re Looking For

Proven track record of winning large outsourcing / IT services deals within the Utilities sector
Strong network and ability to influence senior decision-makers
Deep understanding of consultative / solution-based selling
Commercially astute with experience structuring complex deals
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to execution

Experience & Background

Extensive experience in the Utilities and/or IT services market
Recognised as a credible leader or “thought partner” in the sector
Ideally working for a major global Systems Integrator
Strong understanding of industry trends, technology, and market dynamics

Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability
