About the Role
Your role as a Kitchen Assistant involves supporting the catering functions, including food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals, ensuring high-quality service to residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Understanding the principles of safe food handling to ensure all food preparations meet hygiene standards.
* Contributing fully to team work, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly completing all reasonable work instructions.
* Advising on the supply and quality of items used for tasks, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
* Respecting the dignity and individuality of residents and their visitors in all interactions.
About You
To be successful, you should embody our values of caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability in all your actions.
Our ideal candidate must:
* Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
* Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
* Be an efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and able to handle a demanding workload.
* Show initiative and a positive, flexible attitude towards team work.
* Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
