Year 1 Teaching Assistant – Chichester Primary School

Contract: Full-time / Term-time only
Are you a caring, enthusiastic and motivated individual who enjoys supporting children’s learning and development? We are looking for a Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team from January 2026.

As part of our Key Stage 1 team, you will play a vital role in helping our pupils to grow in confidence and develop a lifelong love of learning.
The successful candidate will:
* Have experience of working with young children in an educational setting (EYFS or KS1 experience desirable).
* Be patient, kind and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning.
* Be able to work effectively as part of a team, following direction from the class teacher and SENCo where appropriate.
* Have good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
* Be proactive and flexible, with a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
