About Holdsworth School
Located in Burnley, Holdsworth School is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for up to 48 pupils aged 5 to 18 with a range of complex needs. As part of the Polaris Community, we have been transforming the lives of young people for over 30 years.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As our School Administrator, you will be the welcoming face of our school, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Answering calls, welcoming visitors, and managing school correspondence
* Maintaining calendars, records, filing systems, and school information
* Supporting meetings, including scheduling and minute-taking
* Assisting the head teacher, school management team, and education staff
* Managing attendance processes, registers, reports, and parent/carer communication
* Overseeing resources, post, deliveries, ID cards, and school diary arrangements
* Utilizing SIMS and other IT systems accurately
* Supporting safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection processes
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills
* Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices
* Experience in developing systems and processes
* Excellent understanding of SIMS
* Ability to work within allocated budgets and monitor costs
* A knack for relating well to children and adults
* A team player who can also use their own initiative
* The ability to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality
Working Conditions
This is a term-time only position, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. The salary for this role is £21,257.48.
