This is the first senior finance hire into the business therefore this is a unique opportunity to build the finance function from the ground up and play a pivotal role in shaping the companys future. The Opportunity: This is a hands-on role at its core. Youll be rolling up your sleeves to manage the day-to-day financial operations, while also developing and delivering the longer-term financial strategy. As the business grows, this role will evolve into a more strategic leadership position, providing you with the opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest level. As a key member of the leadership team, youll work closely with the CEO and investors, bringing financial insight and discipline to help guide the business through its next stages of growth. Key Responsibilities: Financial Leadership & Strategy Lead the financial strategy, planning, and forecasting to support rapid scale-up. Provide commercial and financial insight to the CEO, board, and investors to support key business decisions. Drive financial discipline across the organisation, ensuring sustainable growth and strong unit economics. Financial Operations & Governance Oversee all core finance functions: management accounts, financial reporting, cashflow management, tax, compliance, and audit. Build and manage robust internal controls, systems, and processes suitable for a scaling tech company. Ensure regulatory compliance across relevant jurisdictions. Investor & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for investors, managing reporting requirements and maintaining strong relationships with PE/VC backers. Support future fundraising rounds and potential exit opportunities through financial modelling, due diligence, and investor presentations. Prepare and deliver board packs, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful reporting. Team Building & Development Initially act as ahands-on finance leader, covering all aspects of the finance function. Over time, hire and develop a high-performing finance team to support the companys scale. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and commercial focus. About You Proven experience in aFinance Director, CFO, or senior finance leadership rolewithin ahigh-growth, PE/VC-backed business(ideally in the technology sector). A strong financial operator with hands-on experience inmanagement accounting, cashflow management, forecasting, and compliance. Commercially astute, with the ability to translate complex financials into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders. Experience preparing for and supportingfundraising rounds, investor relations, and board reporting. Strategic thinker, able to balance long-term planning with the realities of fast-paced, day-to-day execution. Comfortable building processes and teams from scratch in a scaling environment.
