The Opportunity: We are currently seeking a Freelance Assistant Site Manager with a solid background in residential housing to join our site team on a live project. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in the delivery of a quality housing development for a national housebuilder.
You will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day coordination of subcontractors, health & safety management, and ensuring that build quality and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily on-site supervision of trades and labour
Ensure H&S policies and procedures are followed at all times
Support site logistics and progress tracking
Assist with quality control and snagging inspections
Help drive programme milestones and report any delays or issues
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors as requiredRequirements:
Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager on residential new build schemes (private or affordable housing)
Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid certification
Strong knowledge of NHBC standards and UK building regulations
Able to read and understand technical drawings and build programmes
Reliable, proactive, and able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
Own transport preferredContract Details:
