Sherwood Forest Hospitals are looking to appoint enthusiastic, highly motivated Medical Laboratory Assistants to join our Pathology team. The role focuses on delivering a safe and efficient diagnostic service while maintaining high standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Data Entry: Accurately and efficiently enter data into the Pathology system.
* Specimen Handling: Label and process specimens, dispatch them to the appropriate laboratory area, place them on equipment for analysis, or prepare them for delivery to external laboratories.
* Rotational Duties: Participate in rotas to cover extended working hours, including Saturday and Sunday mornings and Bank Holidays.
Central Services Tasks
* Specimen Reception: Receive all specimens and request forms.
* Data Entry: Ensure accurate and timely data entry.
* Pre-Analysis: Conduct preliminary analysis of specimens.
* Results Line: Manage the central results line.
* Consumables Distribution: Distribute Pathology consumables to users.
* Report Management: Print and distribute laboratory reports.
