With a growing network of franchise partners and a busy head office marketing agency team based in the heart of Cardiff, we deliver full-service marketing support to clients across the UK, combining creativity with commercial results.
We’re now looking for a Marketing Manager to join our head office team. This person should be someone who thrives on variety, loves getting stuck into a fast-paced role, and brings a mix of marketing know-how and strong commercial sense.
The Role
This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who can confidently manage a busy and varied workload while driving forward activ’s marketing presence. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll lead on planning, delivering and analysing marketing activity across the full mix - digital, brand, events, content and campaigns.
You’ll need to be equally comfortable thinking big and rolling up your sleeves. This role suits someone who has worked agency-side, understands the pace and pressure that comes with it, and genuinely enjoys making things happen.
You will be client facing and need to be a ‘safe pair of hands’ for any client or franchise partner trusting the agency team with their activity.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the company-wide marketing strategy in line with business objectives
* Plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns to support brand awareness, client acquisition, and franchise recruitment
* Plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns on behalf of clients, maintain results, grow account and build strong relationships
* Create and manage marketing calendars, budgets and performance reporting
* Coordinate content and communications across email, social, blog, website, print, and video
* Work closely with the CEO and wider team to shape marketing priorities and support business goals
* Maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints
* Support activ franchise partners with campaign guidance, templates, and toolkits
* Manage external partners and contractors where needed
* Stay up to date on marketing trends and competitor activity to inform plans

What We’re Looking For
* Minimum of 3 years in a marketing management role
* Experience agency-side or in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable
* Strong understanding of the full marketing mix and how to apply it strategically, commercially and in a human-led way
* Commercially minded, with a strategic approach and creative problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Confident managing multiple projects and shifting priorities
* Experience using CRM, CMS, social media scheduling and email platforms (e.g. WordPress, ClickUp, HubSpot, Funnel Sketchers)
* A marketing qualification (e.g. CIM or equivalent) is a bonus
