We currently have a requirement for a Structural Package Engineer on an Offshore Project for our client based in Leatherhead. This is an initial 9 month contract role that has an immediate start and a target limited company rate to man of circa £60.00 per hour.
The role will be based on 5 days a week in the clients Offices in Leatherhead. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.
The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment.
Job Description
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Developing the project PSR (Project Status Report) and package documentation for long lead items particularly castings.
2. Producing specifications and procurement documents for bulk structural materials
3. Writing and issuing of specifications for castings
4. Writing procurement documentation to company standards
5. Supporting procurement including preparation of enquiry and purchase order documentation, technical bid evaluations, package management, vendor document reviews, vendor visits and inspection at factory acceptance tests.
6. Interfacing with team of structural engineers
7. Interfacing with client installation representative and installation contractors
8. Supporting the installation of jackets & topsides
Key Interfaces:
9. Client Project Management Group • Client Construction • Client Engineering Group • Client Supply Chain Management Group • Project Contractors, Suppliers, Vendors and Third Party Interfaces • Clients Corporate Group as necessary
Requirements
10. Degree in Engineering
11. Knowledge related to jacket & topside lifted installations
12. Knowledge of structural steel materials and relevant ISO materials standards
13. Minimum of 10 years in a comparable environment for Oil and Gas Offshore projects
14. Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
15. Offshore experience desirable
16. Some knowledge of major foundries worldwide is desirable but not essential
