The role
Heat Treatment Operative £14.24 per hour (including rolled-up holiday pay) We are currently seeking a Heat Treatment Operative to join a specialist manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals wishing to develop a long-term career within engineering and manufacturing. Full training will be provided, with an expected training period of 3–6 months. Upon successful completion of training, there will be opportunities for pay progression. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate heat treatment furnaces Load and unload components safely and efficiently Monitor furnace operations and production processes Maintain accurate production records using computer systems Use Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams to record and communicate information Clean components prior to heat treatment using specialist cleaning equipment and processes Adhere to all quality, health & safety, and operational procedures Candidate Requirements Good attention to detail Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures Strong organisational and record-keeping skills Reliable, self-motivated and eager to learn Previous manufacturing or engineering experience is advantageous but not essential Training & Development A comprehensive training programme will be provided, covering all aspects of the role. Training is expected to take approximately 3–6 months to complete. Once fully trained, operatives will be expected to work independently and manage their daily responsibilities.
