Finance Assistant – Overview
A great opportunity for someone looking to build their finance career within a busy, hands‑on environment. This role provides core finance administration support with the chance to gain broader experience across management reporting, analysis, and commercial finance.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring correct coding and authorisation.
* Work with Accounts Payable to process supplier invoices accurately.
* Investigate and resolve invoice queries with operational teams.
* Follow up outstanding AP issues to ensure timely resolution.
* Support month‑end tasks, including accruals and prepayments.
* Prepare customer invoice information for Accounts Receivable.
* Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
* Provide administrative support to the finance leadership team.
* Assist with ad‑hoc finance duties as needed.
Skills & Experience
* GCSEs/A Levels or equivalent; AAT qualified or studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Good communication skills (written and verbal).
* Confident using Excel and Microsoft Office.
