Role Overview

We seek an experienced Principal ITS Engineer to lead and expand our traffic signals projects, supporting team members in the UK and abroad. The role involves delivering high-profile traffic engineering projects across the project lifecycle, from concept to maintenance.

You will oversee traffic signals, ITS, and technology projects for various clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include scoping, development, delivery, construction, and maintenance activities.


Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in traffic signals engineering, project coordination, and software tools such as LinSig, AutoCAD, and KeySignals. Leadership experience, membership in a professional body (e.g., IHE, CIHT, IET), and flexibility to travel are essential.


Minimum Requirements

* Extensive experience in traffic signals engineering and design coordination.
* Proficiency in traffic modelling software and signal controller programming.
* Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD and KeySignals.
* Mentoring or supervising team members.
* Membership of a relevant professional body.


Desirable Skills

* Previous line management experience.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary and international teams.
* Ability to travel and adapt to different office locations.
