Overview
This post is a fixed term opportunity until October 2026. We are looking to recruit for a Customer Service Officer to join an established team at Sandwell Libraries - Outreach Library Service. You will drive the service fleet and perform office duties, including delivering multi-drop services for the Home Library and/or Mobile Library and the internal courier for Sandwell Libraries and Archives. You will be responsible for providing a high-quality library service to individuals and groups with limited access to their local library due to disability, illness, or caring responsibilities.
Responsibilities

Requirements
* Must hold a full and current driving licence for a minimum of 12 months.
* At least 12 months of consistent and relevant driving experience.
* A recognised library or customer service qualification, OR to be working towards one, OR equivalent skills and experience.
* To be self-motivated, able to prioritise workload and work with minimum supervision.

* This role will only be offered subject to the successful completion of the council’s fleet driver permit assessment and references.
