Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our client who are seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer on a Permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be recent graduate OR 6 months experience within a similar environment and holds a strong interest in electrical control panels and has a genuine interest in control systems, automation and motor control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design and layout of electrical control panels
* Build, wire, and test control panels to specification
* Program and configure VSDs and PLCs (training provided)
* Carry out on-site installations, commissioning, and system testing
* Support fault finding and troubleshooting activities
* Help prepare documentation, such as wiring schematics, manuals, and reports
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety and quality standards
Candidate Requirements:
* A relevant engineering degree (e.g., Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
* Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles
* Interest in control systems, automation, and motor control
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* A team player with a strong willingness to learn
* Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
* A full clean UK driving licence and reliable vehicle is essential (mileage paid when travelling to site other than the office)
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, to allow to work alongside on-site engineers
* Located in North England, preferably within 1 hour of Oldham.
