Overview
Skanska Building Services is seeking a skilled Multiskilled M&E Technician with an HVAC background to join our on-site team at a large MoD PFI contract near Watford. This is a full-time, site-based position on a prestigious single-location contract.
What you’ll do
* Perform PPM, statutory compliance tasks and reactive works investigations/repairs on air conditioning, refrigeration systems, mechanical, electrical, building services
* Service, test, diagnose and repair process control systems and automatic control devices related to the building services plant and equipment
* Liaise/assist with other services as necessary for the efficient delivery of work activities
* Where required undertake and implement minor capital works projects
* Use provided test and monitoring equipment for maintaining engineering system performance and to aid fault diagnostics and repair; interrogate and adjust systems to maintain correct operation of plant and equipment
* Carry out air-conditioning, electrical, mechanical and system checks to maintain a compliant environment in the relevant areas in accordance with current legislation
What you’ll bring to the role
* NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent (including recognised apprenticeship) with either a mechanical or HVAC or building services bias
* F-Gas qualified
* Gas Safe qualified
* Experience in a similar role on an MOD site
* Working knowledge of other building services and trades
* Excellent teamwork and problem-solving capabilities
This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
