**Job Title:** B1 Licensed Engineer
About This Role:
The primary objective of this position is to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of aircraft and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing allocated tasks, coordinating schedules, and driving day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership & Support: Lead technical staff, prioritize workloads, coordinate schedules, and assist in team development. Assume responsibility for the Chief Engineer when required and drive day-to-day operations.
* Performance, Compliance & Documentation: Oversee accurate and timely completion of maintenance records. Review team performance, provide feedback, and drive improvements in standards, practices, and overall efficiency.
* Delivery, Targets & Stakeholder Focus: Coordinate engineering activities to hit performance targets within budget while maintaining strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
* UK CAA Part 66 Licence: Hold a valid UK CAA Part 66 Licence with relevant type ratings and company approvals.
* Relevant Experience: Possess 3+ years' experience in an LAE or equivalent role within base maintenance.
* Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of base maintenance operations and aviation regulatory requirements.
* Leadership & Communication Skills: Display strong communication, influencing, and customer-facing skills as a team player.
