NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.30am to 4pm.
An opportunity has arisen within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy service to work as an Advanced Practice (MSK) Physiotherapist in Primary Care. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of this developing area of MSK Physiotherapy.
These first contact practitioners will be expected to meet the needs of a GP MSK caseload and provide specialist support to the Primary Care team in GP surgeries while maintaining safe and effective practice. They will also work within the MSK Physiotherapy service.
The role requires highly skilled and experienced MSK physiotherapists who hold a relevant Masters qualification or equivalent and will continue their learning and development to optimise the impact of these new roles. Post holders will require the ability to work flexibly and be responsive to change as the model evolves.
