Art and Design Teacher (Full-Time)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative Art and Design Teacher to take on a full-time role starting in September 2025. The successful candidate will inspire students at KS3 and KS4 through engaging and imaginative lessons that promote artistic skill, personal expression, and a love for the visual arts.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative and student-focused teaching environment, and who is committed to helping young people express themselves and build confidence through creativity.
Role Responsibilities
Deliver well-structured Art and Design lessons that encourage creativity and technical development
Support students in building portfolios and preparing for assessments in line with the national curriculum
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom culture where all students feel encouraged to explore their artistic potential
Contribute to the wider creative life of the school through displays, clubs, and enrichment opportunities
Requirements
To be considered for this Art and Design Teacher position, candidates must have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
Experience teaching Art and Design at KS3 and KS4
A strong command of subject knowledge and practical art skills
Excellent behaviour management and classroom communication skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
