We have a rare opportunity for a Head Office Security Officer to join us at Morrisons. Key points: Role Purpose: The officer will ensure effective security to protect company assets, reputation, people, and property, prevent crime and ensure colleague safety during emergencies. Working Pattern: The position follows a 4-day-on (45 hrs) and 4-day-off pattern, including both day and night shifts, as well as weekend working. Responsibilities include: Managing pedestrian and vehicle access, ensuring safety for colleagues and visitors, prioritising emergency procedures, conducting Loss Prevention activities (searches, patrols, CCTV monitoring), and maintaining security records. Requirements: Applicants should have experience in a similar security-focused role within a large organisation, a working knowledge of security duties in line with employment law, and experience with security activities like searches and CCTV monitoring. For this role, we’re looking for someone who has: Experience in a similar, security focused role, within a large organisation Understanding of site policies and procedures and working knowledge of security duties in line with employment law Knowledge of policy and procedure relating to removal of samples from premises Ability to understand colleague and visitor requirements and respond to their feedback Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering excellent customer service every day Ability to be self motivated and persistent Experience of conducting security activities such as colleague searches and perimeter inspections Experience of using IT systems to undertake security activities such as monitoring CCTV Good verbal and written communication skills
