This is an excellent opportunity to join a quality-focused organisation with a strong reputation for engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and employee development.The RoleReporting into the Quality & Compliance Manager, the Quality Engineer will play a key role in supporting, maintaining and improving the Quality Management System across the business. You will work closely with production, engineering, suppliers and customers to ensure products and processes meet both internal standards and customer requirements.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, analysing data, solving problems, and driving robust corrective actions.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the ongoing development and improvement of the Quality Management SystemIdentify trends, risks and non-conformance through data analysis, monitoring and auditingConduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actionsSupport defect management, including containment actions and production decision makingCarry out audits, inspections, measurements and tests to required standardsProduce clear, accurate and data-driven reports on quality performance and improvement actionsWork cross-functionally with production, engineering, suppliers and customers to resolve quality issuesSupport New Product Introduction (NPI), including APQP and PPAP activitiesProvide quality support to production, including SPC data analysis, scrap reduction initiatives and first-off supportAssist with document control and internal and external audit activitiesContribute to quality-related training and continuous improvement initiativesAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you are likely to have:A qualification at BTEC, HNC or equivalent level in Engineering, Science or a related discipline, or relevant industry experienceAt least 3 years' experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing or precision engineering environmentStrong working knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA and PPAPExperience working with ISO standards (ISO 9001 essential; ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 advantageous)Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departmentsA proactive, detail-focused approach with the ability to work to deadlinesSix Sigma training (Green or Black Belt) is desirable but not essentialBenefitsSalary up to £40,000 depending on experience25 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing to 28 days after one year's serviceEnhanced pension schemeHealthcare benefitsOpportunity to work with a respected manufacturer offering stability and progressionApplyIf you're a Quality Engineer looking to take the next step in your career within a high-quality manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today or contact Butler Rose for more information.Butler Rose is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.Butler Rose Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
