£40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience, with clear progression beyond this)
Easily commutable from: Bristol, Nailsea, Clevedon, Yatton, Cheddar, Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea and surrounding areas.
Looking to step up from Project Engineer into a more client-facing role with real ownership?
We're working with a specialist engineering business delivering bespoke process machinery across the UK and Europe.
This role has been created due to increased project demand and a need to support senior Project Managers. It's a great opportunity for someone who wants to move away from purely technical work and get more involved in the full project lifecycle, while still staying close to the engineering side.
You'll start by supporting senior PMs but will quickly progress into managing your own projects.
What you'll be doing
* Managing projects from enquiry through to delivery and completion
* Acting as the main point of contact for customers throughout
* Interpreting client requirements and helping shape project specs
* Coordinating internal teams (design, workshop, site engineers)
* Supporting quotations, planning and project delivery
* Managing timelines, costs and progress against milestones
* Overseeing documentation (technical files, RAMS, compliance)
* Managing subcontractors and suppliers
* Supporting installation and commissioning when required
What you'll need
* Background in a Project Engineer or similar role
* Around 2+ years' experience delivering engineering projects
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Good understanding of how projects move from design to install
* Comfortable dealing with customers and internal teams
* Organised, able to manage multiple projects and priorities
* Engineering background (mechanical or electrical bias considered)
Experience with process systems or bespoke engineering solutions would be beneficial.
