Starting Date: December 2025 (or as soon as possible)
Annual Salary: Grade J - Scale 30-34, £39,513 - £43,693 per year (pro rata)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours & Contract Type: Full Time or part-time (minimum of two days a week)
41 weeks (Term-time + 2 weeks)
Location: Asterdale Primary School and Oakwood Junior School

Odyssey Collaborative Trust is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced School Business Manager to support two of its schools: Asterdale Primary School and Oakwood Junior School.
This role offers flexibility, with the option to work:
• Full-time (37 hours per week) across both schools, or
• Part-time (2 or 2.5 days per week) supporting one school.
Odyssey Collaborative Trust is a locally focused and proactive organisation comprising seven primary schools, all situated to the north and east of Derby. The schools are located close to one another, enabling strong collaboration and shared values across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:
 1. Lead and manage the school’s administrative team, promoting a collaborative and accountable working environment 
 2. Provide administrative and strategic oversight across key operational areas: Finance, HR, IT, Health & Safety, Premises, Facilities, and GDPR 
 3. Ensure smooth and efficient office operations aligned with the school’s values and priorities 
 4. Drive continuous improvement and build team capacity to support school effectiveness 
 5. Maximise the use of resources to support the school’s development plan 
 6. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and deliver high standards of customer service
