The role
This is a key role where you will take ownership of the Company Commercial department.
* Set and deliver the strategic vision for the department
* Lead, mentor and develop a team
* Manage a high-quality caseload including M&A, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, restructures, joint ventures and governance matters
* Act as a trusted advisor to SMEs, owner‑managed businesses and high‑value commercial clients
* Drive business development activity
* Play a central role in firm-wide strategy
What experience is required
* Qualified Solicitor circa 8+ years PQE in company commercial or corporate law
* Proven experience managing complex transactional and advisory matters
* Strong track record in business development and generating new client work
* Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers or legal teamsn
* Commercially astute with strong strategic and operational thinking skills
* Ambition to take on a senior leadership role and make a significant impact at firm level
