<div><p>Community Staff Nurse – 0‑19 Health Visiting</p><h3>Job Details</h3><p><b>Band:</b> 5 | <b>Contract:</b> Permanent | <b>Hours:</b> Full time – 37.5 hours per week | <b>Location:</b> Lewisham and Greenwich, London | <b>Reference:</b> 197‑RF8357</p><p><b>Salary:</b>£32,073 – £39,043 per annum (pro‑rata) plus Health and Care Community allowance</p><h3>Job Overview</h3><p>You will work as a registered nurse in the 0‑19 public health team, delivering universal services for children and young people, and supporting families and carers.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Deliver the 0‑19 Universal Service and the Healthy Child Programme, including screening, immunisations, developmental reviews and health education.</li><li>Provide targeted interventions and referrals to specialist services, ensuring equitable health outcomes.</li><li>Participate in health promotion activities and multi‑disciplinary team meetings.</li><li>Assess health needs, promote child wellbeing, and support child protection and safeguarding actions.</li><li>Maintain accurate clinical records, report incidents, and contribute to quality improvement.</li><li>Engage with statutory and voluntary agencies, maintain good working relationships, and support service development.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications & Training</h3><ul><li>Registered Nurse (RN/RMN/RSCN/RNLD) with current NMC registration.</li><li>Evidence of post‑registration education, e.g., Mentorship Qualification.</li><li>Immunisation training and experience.</li><li>Safeguarding module completion.</li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>Experience as a community nurse or public health nurse.</li><li>Experience working within multi‑disciplinary teams.</li><li>Understanding of safeguarding children and child protection procedures.</li><li>Experience of clinical governance and audit processes.</li></ul><h3>Essential Requirements</h3><ul><li>Act as a registered practitioner with professional accountability.</li><li>Maintain a current effective status with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.</li><li>Have access to personal transport or a full UK driving licence.</li></ul><h3>Equality, Diversity & Inclusion</h3><p>We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and encourage members of Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic groups, disabled individuals, and LGBT+ people to apply.
