Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Birmingham Hours: Monday-Friday, shifts between 07:00-19:00 (8am-4pm or 11am-7pm) About the Role We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy facilities engineering team responsible for maintaining a large, complex estate. You'll be delivering planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a range of buildings, ensuring systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technically varied environment and enjoys working independently while contributing to a wider engineering team. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance, testing, and reactive repairs on mechanical systems and plant. Diagnose and repair faults on equipment including AHUs, FCUs, boilers, calorifiers, and general plantroom assets. Work from technical drawings, specifications, and instructions without supervision. Maintain plant rooms, workshops, and working environments to a high standard. Record all work accurately using CAFM systems (e.g., Maximo or similar). Support the development of safe systems of work and comply with all relevant regulations, including HTMs, Health & Safety legislation, and internal procedures.
