Here is your opportunity to be part of the Screening Pathway Administration Team at the Diabetic Eye Service Wales. The role will provide an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, striving to improve patient outcomes and patient care through the delivery of high quality screening to the growing diabetic population of Wales. The post holder will be jointly responsible, in conjunction with their counterpart, Screening Pathway Coordinator – Service Delivery, for the continuous service improvement of screening pathway administration, under the direction of the All Wales Screening Pathway Manager. This post forms part of the Diabetic Eye Screening Wales (DESW) Programme, which aims to detect sight threatening diabetic retinopathy at an early stage before visual loss occurs, thereby ensuring early treatment and preventing loss of vision. Diabetic Eye Screening Wales is part of Public Health Wales. We deliver the national service to screen for diabetic retinopathy, to help save sight. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Hours worked will be on a rota basis between 07:00 and 20:00, occasional weekend working. The Screening Pathway Co-ordinator – Service Improvement is responsible for the overall safety and continuous improvement of the Screening Pathway function within Diabetic Eye Screening Wales (DESW). The post holder ensures the operating of the call, recall and relevant failsafe processes is carried out in line with the quality standards for the programme. The post holder will work autonomously over service improvement of screening pathway administration, but will report to the All Wales Screening Pathway Manager. The post holder is expected to be jointly responsible for the line management of the Screening Pathway Administrators in conjunction with their counterpart, the Screening Pathway Co-ordinator – Service Delivery.
