Position
Water Management Officer at Wyre Forest District Council, North Worcestershire Water Management, a shared service for councils in north Worcestershire.
Job Purpose
Our aim is to protect and enhance the water environment whilst improving flood resilience. We look after ordinary watercourses in the area.
Responsibilities
You’ll assist the delivery of a property flood resilience scheme to households, engaging with communities and individuals, contractors, surveyors and partner organisations. You will help the team with a broad range of work, and will be responsible for the project over 24 months.
Qualifications
* Degree in a relevant subject.
* Have some experience or be a recent graduate looking for that first role.
* Have a vehicle, be able to navigate rough ground, be good at talking with people and have good maths and English skills.
* Available for occasional work outside normal office hours.
* 2‑year fixed‑term contract.
